WHY JOE SCHEIDLER TRUSTED A MAN WHO KILLED 75,000 BABIES
Posted by: | Commentsfrom Joe Scheidler
The pro-life movement lost a powerful voice in defense of unborn children in the recent death of former abortionist Dr. Bernard Nathanson.
Along with Lawrence Lader he had founded NARAL (then called the National Association for the Repeal of Abortion Laws). He had performed abortions enthusiastically for many years, directed the largest abortion facility in the Western world, and by his own accounting was responsible for 75,000 deaths.
As difficult as it is to say now, at the time of his pro-life conversion many years ago, I did not quite trust him. Read More→

Sticky: How Dads Can Avoid Billy Ray’s Regrets by Doug Giles
Posted by: | CommentsI can’t imagine watching a video of my 18-year-old daughter on TV, high as a kite, sucking on a bong, speaking gibberish, posing for semi-nude photos and laying all over a bunch of tweenage horndogs attempting to imitate an episode of Skins while knowing that there’s pretty much nothing I can do about her bad behavior but talk to Jesus and weep.
That sad and avoidable scenario I just painted has been Billy Ray Cyrus’ reality of late as he watches his famous daughter Miley follow Anna Nicole Smith’s path of doom (Billy Ray’s words, not mine).
In next month’s , Cyrus the Senior states that he screwed up with Miley the Younger by allowing the dipsticks at Disney to hijack her soul and turn her into Read More→

Of Valentine’s Day and “The Vagina Monologues”
Posted by: | Comments
*****CAUTION*****
Content is for mature readers. Contains language offensive, derogatory, and demeaning to women and/or sensitive readers. However, if you choose to read on, that is the point of the article.
Ephesians 5:1-7: Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them (emphases mine).
Years ago, I had a friend who named the Name of Christ who invited me to The Vagina Monologues. My friend also invited a group of others to see the play. We had quite a discussion about it, and as you might have guessed, I did not attend.
I’ve learned this year that The Vagina Monologues is a Valentine’s Day tradition. Since tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, for your educational benefit, should you be invited to this play, below are excerpts from a speech on the subject by Christina Hoff Sommers, of the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research. The full text can be found at: http://www.aei.org/speech/22262. From her comments, I believe the applicability of the scripture reference with which I opened will become obvious. Read More→

Rescue us O Lord from the Shiny, Happy SINdrome
Posted by: | Comments|
“There is a Shiny, Happy Church with a Shiny, Happy Steeple. They have Shiny, Happy Programs for all the Shiny Happy People” – J. Kirkwood, from Revelation 3:16 “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” The following is the most recent email we received from our friend Matthew Byers: All right that did it. Coach told me he was going to send me the commentary that changed his life. I just finished reading it and I have to thank Paul Proctor for writing it and changing Coach’s life because through Coach my life was changed. Now I have to tell you just what I think of the nonCatholic church world. I was just recently in Jefferson City Missouri with Dr. Gregory Thompson, my sons and I assisted him for two weeks with setting up and running Missouri’s first annual March and Rally for Life at the capitol during the anniversary of Roe v. Wade. What was lacking? Not Catholics, that is for sure, there were are least three times as many Catholics as there were Protestants and Organic Church folks (read Pagan Christianity to understand that) at the March and Rally. Let me ask you a question, does God hate the killing of innocent life? He says it is an abomination, and requires justice for the shedding of it. Do you hate the killing of innocent life? Please read the following commentary by Paul Proctor and if you say ouch! Do something about it. |
BEDRIDDEN BELIEVERS
By Paul Proctor
March 26, 2004; NewsWithViews.com
Driving across town the other day, I passed by a church that always displays an inspirational message on their sign out front. Such messages are very common these days and often quite thought provoking. The one I saw most recently had me thinking all the way home.
It read: “Churches are hospitals for sinners, not museums for saints.”
How sad and true, I thought to myself. Churches have become hospitals for sinners, haven’t they? They used to be spiritual fortresses built in enemy territory where soldiers for Christ were Read More→
