Remembering Roe vs. Wade
No long winded blog here, just a couple things for your learning pleasure.
Attached please find a magnificent article from the most recent World Magazine. I made a .pdf of the 8 pages, so almost anyone can download and read it. I would advise that, too, as there’s some rather outstanding insight to be gleaned.
Below is the ‘Abortion Provider Map’ you hear being discussed in yesterday’s show during the 3rd segment. I figured it would be nice to have should you listen.
We hope you take a serious interest in the lives of the unborn. We at the ‘Uncommon Show’ believe that God will judge us based on the way we treat life, the way we value life. We desire to hear no more the ‘strawman argument’ of ‘DEFINING’ life (as is the mantra of the Left), rather, let us argue for the inherent rights and value of what is clearly and inescapably human life.
If you like use this when someone pulls the, “Well, we really don’t know when it’s a person, when it’s life,” line:
In biology did you learn that a one celled creature, such as an amoeba or a paramecium, was “life,” or did your teacher tell you something different? If these two critters are considered life then I submit that the zygote, the one cell formation that immediately forms upon mom’s 23 chromosomes meeting dad’s 23, IS EQUALLY LIFE. That is the definition of a person.
End of argument. Cognizance is not the issue here, it never has been. Humanity, however, is.
(Samuel Armas’ tiny hand grips Dr. Joseph P. Bruner’s finger just as Bruner finishes returning him to his mother’s womb – Dec. 9, 1999. The famous photo of baby Samuel’s hand reaching out from the uterus of his mother at 21-weeks gestation during foetal surgery, has turned the veteran photo-journalist hired by USA Today for the shoot into a pro-life activist. Michael Clancy, who snapped the photo after seeing the baby’s hand jut out of the hole in the womb made by the surgeons, now offers his image free of charge to pro-life groups.)
No God fearing Christian should ever take a pro-choice stance, ever, and remember, those who do fall into this category:
“But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.”
Loving the Lord to the Christian is synonymous to loving life, too. Stand up for the unborn, choose life.
And lest we forget…
Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
And, if you don’t happen to be a Christian, perhaps some common sense secular wisdom will do here. From the inimitable Dr. Seuss:
“A person is a person, no matter how small.”
