Obama Converts Catholocism: Will Accept Benedict’s Confession

: The first African-American Pope, Barack Obama will take as his name for the Papacy, Muhammad Ali XVI.

It’s official, the white smoke is coming out of the chimney in the West Wing: Barack Obama is to accept the result of the Papal Conclave and become the 266th Pope. It’s another first for Obama who, only last year became the first African-American President. “I am thrilled to call Osama Obama, uh, Obama bin, uh, I am pleased that His Holiness Muhammad Ali will be the Vicar of Christ,” was the reaction of an exuberant and slightly inebriated Senator Kennedy.

Not all expressed joy over the result however, Senator Byrd called the restriction that limits voting to members under 80, “age-ist and archaic” and Al Sharpton wondered aloud why the smoke had to be white for a new Pope and not black. The mood of the rest of the country and the world was relief and rejoicing. The dean of the college of Cardinals commented that he was “simply speechless,’ no doubt from the outstanding access with which the Cardinals were allowed to view the proceedings from an adjacent gallery. ACORN members were allowed down on the floor to help collect the ballots that were later to be counted and recorded by Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod.

Newsweek and ABC News were given all access to the event and the first interview granted to MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow as the new Pope stated, “As Supreme Pontiff of the Universal Church, I will make sure that diversity and access are open to all my people.”

If it were up to Newsweek and the Kennedy family, the fantasy of the above news story would be reality. In her July 9th article, “Without a Doubt: Why Barack Obama represents American Catholics better than the pope does” Kathleen Kennedy Townsend proves that some professing Catholics are the world’s leading anti-Catholic bigots. Laying out her thesis that Catholic doctrine should be guided by polls and a thirsty ear for what Perez Hilton might think, Townsend concludes that the sheep should be leading the shepherd. Not all sheep, not catholics worldwide, just the catholics that poll in agreement with her on certain issues. Townsend conveniently leaves out the polls that disagree with her leftist bias’ – (same-sex marriage, abortion-on-demand) while she shapes a world in which female priests could hand out condoms with communion and the confessional is conveniently converted into an aboratorium. This is compassion, this is empathetic? About as compassionate as driving someone off a bridge and leaving them to drown.

Townsend writes, “When Obama meets the pope tomorrow, they’ll politely disagree about reproductive freedoms and homosexuality, but Catholics back home won’t care, because they know Obama’s on their side.” To Kennedy “Catholics back home” are Uncle Teddy and Sen. Heinz Ketchup who was for the pope before he was against him. Her hatred of ‘her own’ church stems from the Church’s stance for Biblical marriage and for the rights of the unborn, yet this view according to Kennedy-Townsend is “hierarchal, authoritarian, close-minded, deaf, heinous and revolting.” (see article)

In a stunning denial of Catholic and Christian History, Townsend writes,

Even more intriguing is the pope’s support for political activism, which he refers to in the encyclical as “the institutional path … of charity, no less excellent and effective than the kind of charity which encounters the neighbor directly.” As a member of a family that preached that politics is an honorable profession, I see that he is opening the church to roles that for too long have been neglected. Here Obama (the community organizer from Chicago) could teach the pope a lot about politics—and what a Catholic approach to politics could entail.

So I suppose she reads the Pope’s affirming of the Christian ‘love thy neighbor’ and his intimation of the good samaritan to mean ACORN thugs going door to door. ‘Direct contact with a neighbor’ in a world where words have meaning would suggest face to face charity, the kind of thing that Catholic Charities and the Christian world have been doing since Christians invented hospitals, orphanages, food-banks, hospice, red-cross, et. al. What it suredly does not mean is the government forcing unwilling people to “donate” or “invest” at the point of a gun (IRS), stripping them of their own earnings, keeping 70-78% and sending 22% to the needy. That is not Robin Hood compassion it is robbing hoods in action. You can call it compassion, but plunder is still theft by any other name.

The arrogance in which she summons her family name – Kennedy as the fount of honor in politics is further proof of leftist delusional grandeur, and if we’ve learned anything from Saul Alinsky, ACORN and the Reverand Jeremiah Wright it is that a ‘Community Organizer’ is cover for a ‘Communist Agitator.’ ‘Baby-Face’ Barack, protected by buyoffs to the mainstream media appears to have a clean slate, while his campaigns from the very beginning have been characterized by Chicago-style thug politics more consistent with Al Capone’s quip, “You can go further in life with a smile, a kind word and a gun, than you can go with a smile and a kind word.” Just ask Jack Ryan, a political opponent whose messy divorce records were ‘leaked out’ by David Axelrod in coordination with the Chicago Tribune and see if he among a long line of other casualties, would offer their support to ‘the chosen one.’ (see the casualty list here)

What can we learn about Obama and the Kennedy’s from this latest attempt to undermine Catholic doctrine and Christian tradition? Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, representative of her family and a dark side of the Catholic laity are more akin to the Borgia popes than anything that resembles the current Papacy. A rule by force and intrigue for the pursuit of personal agendas, a Machiavellian pragmatism of control at any cost, even if that cost is shame to the Church or to the Lord whom all Christians worship. Maybe this is her buy in to Obamamania, her pennance for supporting Hillary Clinton over the chosen one in the Democratic primary or maybe it’s just a great way to release her frustrations over a group of Christians with whom her family holds little sway outside of Hyannis Port.

And what of President Obama? His silence as surrogate after surrogate compares him to Holy figures from pope to Jesus Christ is soft blasphemy in the highest degree. He has seen his ‘Sister Souljah Moment’ come and go, week after week and hasn’t stepped up to reprimand artist, campaign worker, blogger, or sycophant who repeatedly suggests that he is the chosen one, the messiah or even a kinder gentler messiah.

The Catholic church and Christian’s in general are used to being treated with this soft bigotry and again we will turn the other cheek, (although I’m beginning to feel like Larry and Shemp); but what do you think the reaction would be in the Islamic World to a prolonged campaign of comparing Barack Obama to Muhammad or the 12th Imam? Would that the next Obama worshipper compare his holiness to Muhammad, I’m sure Salman Rushdie could spare a few body guards.

As for Newsweek’s latest offering of Christian Derangement Syndrome, Catholics and all Christians who still subscribe to Newsweek should exorcise the bigoted rag from their homes and offices in a new bonfire of the vanities; my bet is that the smoke will go up black.
