Sarah Palin – Staying Classy While Being Demeaned…

Many of you know and love Sarah Palin.  Many are inspired by her down home demeanor, uncommon political class and the way she manages her family and spiritual life.  I know I am. She is a real American, her family a genuine American story.

Sarah Palin is an inspiration to all, and certainly to any true American.  And that is why Liberals hate and fear her.  People tend to fear that which they cannot understand, and it’s a reasonable assumption that the Left does not understand Sarah Palin.  “What fellowship hath darkness with light?,” you see.

And so, the other day we caught a glimpse into the soul of the (well, soulless) Left, when John Kerry spouted the following:

“Too bad,’’ Kerry said, “if a governor had to go missing it couldn’t have been the governor of Alaska. You know, Sarah Palin.’’

This was in response to (the then unknown whereabouts) of Governor Sanford of South Carolina.

Now, this was condescending elitist snobbery on three levels, and they are:

1.  He makes light of a missing person, no small matter.

2. He degrades the office and person of a sitting Governor, in this case a woman governor (where is NOW when you need them?)

3.  He condescends to his audience by TELLING them it’s Sarah Palin in his thoughts, as if they were too stupid to figure that out.

So, this snob has a moment consistent with his character, no one is surprised, and I am not surprised that the media failed to mention this.  In all fairness, people have been dropping dead as of late, so it’d be easy to overlook.

However, it turns out Saracuda responded, and boy did she do it in style!  Thought I’d share this with you:

Sarah Responds to Lurch

So, with class, with confidence, and in a room full of our soldiers, she responds with grace and humor.  What a gal!  And yeah, you heard that right.  Sarah Palin was busy occupying our troops overseas, something of which the Massachusetts Senator was completely unaware.  What a swell American Senator Kerry is, eh?

And so, my question to you:

You’re overseas, serving your country, you’re a boot on the ground, a grunt in the control room, a cook in the kitchen, whatever you are, and you get a short list of either Senator Kerry or Sarah Palin to come and speak to you, comfort you, inspire you…   …whom do you choose?

It’s an easy choice, isn’t it?

Post Script…

This story is catching on all over the ‘Net. Here’s some good commentary from the crowd over at NewsBusters.

P.S.S.

Here’s the lie of the day. Senator Kerry’s office felt the need to apologize (with pone of those half-hearted sort of apologies, that is), but if you believe the below then you probably believe all roads lead to Heaven, as well.

“We stand corrected, the truth is every Democrat hopes Governor Palin is in the public eye for a long, long time, especially on the 2012 presidential ballot,” Kerry spokeswoman Jodi Seth says. “Lately it’s been Vice President Cheney that everyone hopes would lose the cameras and go for a long leisurely hike on the Appalachian Trail. And good grief, if anyone thinks John Kerry is afraid of strong, smart women, they sure haven’t met his brilliant wife and two independent daughters. It sounds like getting crushed these last two election cycles cost some of these Republicans their sense of humor.”
